Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

609.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a decision will be made on an application for a £1,000 grant by a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named.

610.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have a final inspection of a £1,000 new house grant carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as all the work has now been completed and an inspection requested.

An inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

611.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly who has been living in the house for the last eight months.

A grant cannot be paid until an inspection establishes that the house is satisfactorily completed and occupied and complies with all other conditions of the grant scheme. The file in this case is with my Department's inspector for urgent investigation and report with a view to payment of the grant.
