Written Answers. - Payment for Forestry Land.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry in view of the fact that the final contract signings are now completed, when payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry in respect of 170 acres of land which he sold to the Forestry Division two years ago.

I understand that the stage has been reached in this case where the sale may be closed straight away and payment of the purchase money made provided the vendor fulfils one final legal requirement which has been notified to him.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry when it is proposed to pay a person (details supplied) in County Galway who sold land to his Department.

Price agreement was reached in this case on 1 March 1983 subject to completion of the sale within 12 months. As soon as the legal formalities, which are now being dealt with, have been completed payment of the purchase money will be made.
