Vol. 343 No. 10

Written Answers. - County Dublin Estate.

629.

asked the Minister for the Environment if it is his intention that Dublin County Council purchase the Luttrellstown estate; and if this estate is to be preserved as an amenity area for the people of County Dublin.

In the Dublin County Development Plan, 1983, the Luttrellstown estate is designated as an area of high amenity to be protected and improved. The acquisition of land in the Luttrellstown area for development as a regional park is an objective of the development plan. The provision of amenities in their functional area and the implementation of objectives of the development plan is the responsibility of the local authority.
