asked the Minister for Finance when a tax refund will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.
It is proposed to take Questions Nos. 670 and 671 together.
I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a claim for repayment of 1982-83 income tax overpaid was submitted to the inspector of taxes in this case on 3 May 1983. Additional information requested by the inspector was supplied on 15 June 1983. The taxpayer's liability for that year has now been reviewed by the inspector and a cheque for the refund due will issue shortly.
