Vol. 344 No. 9

Written Answers. - Bettystown (Meath) Coastal Erosion.

217.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a special allocation to Meath County Council to assist the coastal erosion problem at Bettystown, County Meath, as it is most important to safeguard the homes of the people who reside near the coast; and if he will give this matter urgent attention.

There are no funds at my disposal to assist local authorities in coast protection works. The question of any remedial action is a matter for Meath County Council and the Office of Public Works.

Question No. 218 postponed.
