Vol. 344 No. 9

Written Answers. - Computersied Directory Service.

458.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the computerised directory service came into operation; if he is satisfied with the performance of the service; and if he has plans to extend it to other centres.

The service was introduced at Drogheda in July 1981 and has been progressively extended to thirteen of the other fifteen centres where it is being provided. It is planned to provide the service at the remaining two centres, namely Waterford and Letterkenny, during the next few months. The service will then be available nationally.

The service is considered satisfactory.
