Vol. 345 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dublin School Extension.

503.

asked the Minister for Education if she has granted permission to the management boards of Darndale junior national school and Darndale senior national school, Dublin, to commission an architect to submit new sketch plans for the building of a permanent extension to the existing school; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department recently agreed that the two schools in Darndale be organised on the basis of 24 classrooms in each school and are currently considering the requirements in permanent accommodation of the two schools, having regard to enrolment trends.

My Department will be writing to the chairman of the boards of management as soon as a decision has been taken.
