asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the foreign embassies in Dublin whose staff are subject to travel restrictions; the terms of the restrictions; and the number of diplomats subject to such travel restrictions.

There are provisions for restrictions on travel in this country by the staff of two foreign embassies in Dublin. The embassies are those of the USSR and the People's Republic of China. The restrictions provided for are on the basis of reciprocity with those to which the staff of our Embassies in Moscow and Beijing are subject, and refer to advance notification of travel by embassy staff outside the capitals involved.

The diplomatic staff of the Soviet Embassy in Dublin currently comprise five officers, that of the Chinese Embassy five officers.
