Vol. 346 No. 6

Written Answers. - Transfer of Public Servants.

401.

asked the Minister for the Public Service the number of public servants employed in the Dublin region who have applied for a transfer to Government offices elsewhere.

Applications by civil servants for transfer to centres outside Dublin are dealt with by their own Departments and records of the total numbers are not kept by my Department. The majority of the applicants are in the clerical grades and their requests are processed in accordance with arrangements settled at General Council under the Conciliation and Arbitration Scheme.

In relation to my Department and to the Civil Service Commission, a total of 25 transfer applications have been received.
