Vol. 346 No. 6

Written Answers. - Income Tax Refund.

448.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will arrange refund of income tax to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as he is unemployed at present.

I understand that the taxpayer's application for a tax refund for the current year on the grounds of unemployment has been dealt with by the inspector of taxes. The liability for the year 1980-81 has also been reviewed to take account of additional information supplied by the taxpayer and an overpayment has arisen. Cheques in settlement of the refunds due will be issued at an early date.
