Vol. 346 No. 6

Written Answers. - Calf Subsidies.

577.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a £22 calf subsidy for 1982 and 1983 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person named applied for EEC calf premium in respect of calves born between 20 May 1982 and 30 June 1982 but failed to comply with a request to submit certificates of birth in support of his application which cannot be processed until he does so. He also applied for premium on calves born between 1 January 1983 and 15 June 1983. Payments on calves born in that period will commence in January 1984 after all those calves have reached six months of age and become eligible for premium.

578.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a calf subsidy for 18 calves amounting to almost £400 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath.

The person named will be paid as soon as the batch which includes his payment is processed.
