An application was received on 14 June 1983 from Galway County Council for permission under the Foreshore Act, 1933 to lay a sewerage outfall pipe at Rinville West, County Galway, in connection with the proposed Oranmore sewerage scheme. Following publication of the proposal a number of objections were received in my Department and these were forwarded to the county council for their observations.
The county council are at present considering any modifications of the proposal which might be required to meet the objections received. When the views of the council are available the application will be considered as speedily as possible.
