asked the Minister for Finance the estimated detailed works programme for 1984 for the Boyne Drainage Scheme, County Meath, and if work will continue on the unfinished drainage work of 1983 in 1984.

Work will continue in 1984 on the scheduled drainage operations of the Boyne Drainage Scheme. The year's programme relates mainly to work on the Moynalty River and tributaries but some work will also be undertaken in a number of other areas throughout the catchment.

asked the Minister for Finance the number of employees registered with the Boyne Drainage Scheme, County Meath on 1 January 1982 and on 1 January 1983, and the employment projection for 1984.

The number of people employed on the Boyne Drainage Scheme, County Meath, on 1 January 1982 was 381 and the number employed on 1 January 1983 was 395. There are 355 employees on the Boyne Drainage Scheme at present and it is expected that the number will be reduced by about 125 during 1984.

asked the Minister for Finance the amount of money that will be paid out in salaries and wages under the 1984 Estimate of £3.3 million to the Boyne Drainage Scheme, County Meath.

The pay content of the allocation for the Boyne Drainage Scheme in 1984 is approximately £2.3 million.
