A Cheann Comhairle, I beg leave to announce, for the information of the Dáil.
(1) that, on 2 January 1984, I assigned the Department of Communications to Deputy Jim Mitchell; and
(2) that, on the same date, the Government appointed Deputy Ted Nealon, Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach with special responsibility for Arts and Culture, to be Minister of State at the Department of Communications also with special responsibility for radio and television.
