A mature student may qualify for a scholarship under the 1983 scheme of scholarship to regional technical colleges and colleges of technology administered by the vocational education committees provided he or she satisfies the requirements as regards educational attainments and means of the scheme of the year of entry to the third-level educational course. I am not aware that the person in question applied for such a scholarship.
There is no other provision in accordance with which he could be awarded a scholarship by the vocational education committee in respect of his attendance at the regional technical college.
