asked the Taoiseach the total tonnage of Irish bacon exported to Great Britain and all other countries.

asked the Taoiseach the total exports of Irish bacon to Britain in 1983.

asked the Taoiseach the tonnage of bacon imported from Northern Ireland in 1983.

(Dún Laoghaire): I propose to take Questions Nos. 8, 9 and 13 together and to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing the information requested in respect of the period January—November 1983 which is the latest period for which such data are available.

Is the Minister aware of the imminent collapse of the Irish bacon industry due to the large amount being imported from Northern Ireland?
