asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will restore disability benefit to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The person concerned is being paid disability benefit at the weekly rate of £34.80, the maximum rate for a single man. All disability benefit due to 17 January 1984, date of latest medical certificate received, has been issued. He was also paid pay-related benefit from 12 October 1982, thirteenth day of incapacity. Payment continued to 29 December 1983 after which date his entitlement to pay-related benefit was exhausted as he had been paid for the maximum period of 63½ weeks.
