Vol. 347 No. 5

Written Answers. - Land Registry.

asked the Minister for Justice when a dealing in the Land Registry will be completed for persons (details supplied) in County Galway.

Limerick East): I refer to my previous replies to similar questions from the Deputy on 5 July 1983 and 14 December 1983 (Dáil Official Report, Vol. 344, No. 7, column 1527 and Vol. 346, No. 10, column 2280) in which I indicated that applications of the kind referred to in the Deputy's question — that is applications for first registration — involve detailed and complex examination of title and often protracted correspondence. At present such applications take up to 15 months on average to complete. It is not possible at this stage to say when the particular applications in question will be completed as certain queries concerning the title have been raised with the solicitors.
