The general standard of maintenance on the Corrib Clare catchment drainage scheme, in which the area in question is situated, is satisfactory but the programme of works has been impeded by difficult ground conditions and high water levels in the channels in this area. Work is proceeding at the maximum speed consistent with the prevailing conditions.
