asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have a £1,000 new house grant paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the work has been completed and an application has been made for some time.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the work was inspected and passed in December 1983.

The grant was paid on 9 February 1984.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

A grant will be paid in this case when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and complies with all the other conditions of the scheme. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

371.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a new house grant will be awarded to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and, if not, the reason.

A grant cannot be paid in this case because, contrary to a statutory condition of the scheme, the applicant was not in occupation of the particular house at final inspection stage. He had returned to live at his previous address and the house was rented.
