asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will expedite the payment of a headage grant as promised on 30 December 1983 to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The person named will be paid his cattle headage grant under the 1983 disadvantaged areas scheme within the next week.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reasons a grant for agricultural equipment has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; the amount to be paid; the date on which it will be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The grant of £514 under the farm modernisation scheme will be paid shortly together with a number of other grants certified about the same time.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reasons a calf subsidy has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; the date on which he will be paid; the amount that will be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Payments under the calf premium scheme have now commenced and will continue for a further five weeks. The person named will be paid £603.22 as soon as the batch which includes his payment is processed. This payment is being made with many others. There is no particular delay.
