asked the Minister for Defence the reasons for the prolonged delay in making the site of the married quarters at Arbour Hill, Dublin 7, available to Dublin Corporation for new houses so that the members of the Defence Forces and their families now living in deplorable conditions in Arbour Hill can be rehoused quickly.

Negotiations between my Department and the corporation are continuing. A letter from the corporation indicating their latest position in the matter was received by the Department on 5 April 1984 and a reply to this letter will be issued shortly.
