Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - European Social Fund Allocation.

16.

asked the Minister for Labour the allocation Ireland received in 1983 from the European Social Fund; and the projects aided.

Assistance amounting to £123.52 millions was approved for Ireland from the European Social Fund for programmes carried out in 1983. As the beneficiaries have up to mid-1985 to make their final claims for payment from the fund for 1983 operations, I cannot at this stage say what the final amount received will be. Details of the programmes for which assistance was approved are set out in the form of a tabular statement which I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:

I could not give an answer now but if the Deputy likes to put down a question I will get the information for him.
