I move: "That the Second Stage be ordered for Tuesday next, 8 May, 1984," subject to agreement with the Whips.
Wool Marketing Bill, 1984: Order for Second Stage.
On the Order of Business, might I ask the Tánaiste——
Strictly speaking, we have left the Order of Business; we are on item——
I was on my feet, a Cheann Comhairle.
Unfortunately, the Chair did not see Deputy O'Hanlon.
I wanted to ask the Tánaiste——
There is a general mood of accommodation around this morning.
I wanted to ask the Tánaiste if it was a Government decision for the Minister for Health to open a family planning clinic which may be in contravention of the 1979 Family Planning Act.
That does not arise on the Order of Business. I rule that that is not in order on the Order of Business. Item No. 23.
I endeavoured to ask a question and that was also ruled out of order.
It is certainly not in order now anyway.
Would the Government accept that the Minister was out of order?
I must rule Deputy O'Hanlon out of order and I have so done. Item No. 23.
Might I ask the Tánaiste when it is proposed to introduce amending legislation to the 1979 Family Planning Act?
Has the Deputy a proposal?
Do the Government intend introducing legislation or will they go ahead without legislation?
That is a matter which will come before the Government for discussion.
