Vol. 350 No. 8

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

522.

asked the Minister for the Environment the position with regard to the payment of remaining grants to a group scheme (Details supplied) in Kilcolgan, County Galway.

The following matters must be dealt with before the total amount of grants due for this scheme can be determined and any further instalments paid to the group.

(a) clarification by the group of certain matters relating to the eligibility for grants of particular applicants and water supplies which arose from a recent inspection of the water supplies in the scheme. My Department will be writing shortly to the group about these matters.

(b) consideration by my Department of Galway County Council's request for approval to an additional special contribution in respect of the scheme;

(c) certification by my Department's local inspector of the satisfactory completion of the scheme for grant purposes; and

(d) determination by Galway County Council of the actual cost of road restoration resulting from the scheme.

523.

asked the Minister for the Environment of the reason for the delay in the payment of a home improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in Glin, County Limerick.

There has been no delay in this case. The application was received on 17 April 1984 and at present a report on the applicant's eligibility for a grant by my Department's inspector is awaited.
