Vol. 350 No. 12

Written Answers. - Tuam Water Supply.

525.

asked the Minister for Finance the outcome of the trial bore hole dug beside Tuam waterworks to provide an alternative water supply for Tuam town and to allow the drainage of the River Nanny to continue; if further money will be provided for prolonged testing or a new bore hole, in the event of an unsuccessful test; and if he will make a statement om the matter.

The commissioners of public works have been advised by Galway County Council that the quality of the water from the trial boring carried out by the council in connection with the Tuam water supply was unsatisfactory. The commissioners have not been informed as yet of any further proposals by the council in the matter.
