The Department of Justice formally approved the re-establishment of a Garda station at Inniskeen, County Monaghan, in March 1982. To date it has not been possible to locate a suitable premises for use as a Garda station. The commissioners have investigated a number of sites in the area but none of them proved suitable. Until such time as a suitable site becomes available I cannot say when accommodation can be provided for the Garda at Inniskeen.
