asked the Minister for Health if the allocation of beds to consultants, for private practice as per contract, has been adhered to in each of the hospitals under the aegis of the Southern Health Board during the years 1981, 1982 and 1983; if this allocation has been exceeded by any consultant in any of the said hospitals during this period; if he will specify details of these excesses; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

During the years 1981, 1982 and 1983 there has been no specific allocation of beds to consultants for private practice.
