Vol. 352 No. 8

Written Answers. - Tax Rebate.

445.

asked the Minister for Finance when will a tax rebate be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that, on the basis of information recently received, this case has been reviewed and the balance of the personal allowances and reliefs not required by the husband will be made available for use in connection with the taxpayer's liability. The necessary details have been supplied to the inspector concerned and any tax refund arising in respect of any relevant year will be made at an early date.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes who deals with the taxpayer's affairs has no record of having received an application for repayment of income tax in this case. In the circumstances, the inspector will now take up the matter directly with the taxpayer.
