asked the Minister for Health when he intends to amend the Cruelty to Animals Act, 1876.

I have reviewed the arrangements for the operation of the Cruelty to Animals Act, 1876 and I am satisfied that the Act, as now being administered, is adequate for the control of animal experimentation on the scale on which it is carried out in this country.
