I have repeatedly expressed my concern about the effects of cereal substitutes on Community milk production. Following discussions in the Council of Ministers during the price negotiations earlier this year the Commission has been in contact with the main exporting countries with a view to limiting the quantities of substitutes which are imported into the Community. I shall, of course, be continuing my efforts to have these ongoing negotiation brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
