In 1983 the IDA approved grant aid for 269 projects in the food sector. In 1984 up to 30 September I understand that the authority approved grant aid for 207 food projects. I also understand that FEOGA aid was approved for 44 projects in 1983 and for 16 projects in 1984, up to 30 September.
As applications for FEOGA grants have to be submitted to the FEOGA authorities at least six months in advance of decisions being given, a substantial number of the projects approved for FEOGA aid, in any given year, would have been approved for aid at national level during the previous year.
