I understand from the IDA that the machines in question were transferred by the company to its parent in Germany at the end of 1982. The stated purpose of the transfer was to carry out modifications to the machines to increase their production capacity. I am advised by the IDA that the question of the return of the machines is bound up with the company's future plans for its Irish operation. These plans are at present under discussion between the company, Fóir Teo and IDA.
