asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism the total amount of grants paid out by Bord Fáilte each year since 1960 up to and including 1984 for the provision of tourist facilities throughout the country, giving a detailed breakdown for each section; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 343 and 344 together.
Bord Fáilte's Annual Reports and Accounts provide a summary of moneys made available for grant schemes in the appropriate year together with details of expenditure under the schemes in question. Bord Failte's Annual Reports and Accounts up to 1982 are available in the Dáil Library. The 1983 Report will be presented to the Houses of the Oireachtas shortly.
In regard to 1984, information on the amount of money made available for grant payments by Bord Fáilte is provided in the published Revised Estimates for Public Services 1984 (page 155). Details of the take up of such grants will be published in due course in Bord Fáilte's Annual Report and Accounts for 1984.
