Vol. 352 No. 8

Written Answers. - Speed Control Ramps.

381.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has any plans to introduce the necessary legislation to allow for the provision of ramps in housing estates in order to prevent cars speeding through.

The general question of the provision of speed control ramps on public roads either on an experimental basis or otherwise, including the statutory framework within which they might be provided, is currently being examined in my Department. Any proposals in the matter would be considered in the context of the next Road Traffic Bill.
