Vol. 352 No. 8

Written Answers. - Fencing of Land.

415.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry the reason land at Garrycummer, Kilcommon, Thurles, County Tipperary which was purchased by his Department from a person (details supplied) in 1983 has not yet been fenced as it is causing a great inconvenience; and when this land will be fenced.

These lands were taken over by my Department in October of last year. Ordinarily fencing is not carried out by the Forest and Wildlife Service until land is developed for planting. In this particular case the area has recently been ploughed in preparation for planting and the necessary fencing will be erected shortly.
