Vol. 352 No. 12

Written Answers. - County Limerick Hospital.

349.

asked the Minister for Health if he will treat as a matter of urgency a tender which was submitted to his Department on 31 July 1984, for an extension to the Orthopaedic Hospital at St. Nessan's, Croom, County Limerick, which presently has over 250 patients on a waiting list for urgent operations; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Tenders for this project are under examination in my Department at present. Approval of the acceptance of tenders and commencement of building must, however, await determination of the health capital programme for 1985 which is at present in the course of preparation. This project will be considered as sympathetically as possible having regard to the many competing demands for the capital resources available to my Department.
