asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The sewerage grant approved in this case will be paid shortly. On receipt of notification of completion of the bathroom works, a further inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of the relevant grant.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

This grant will be paid shortly.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a comprehensive statement on the situation with regard to a new house grant application made by a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

The file in this case has been referred to my Department's inspector for investigation and report with a view to payment of the new house grant. Payment will be made when an inspection establishes that the House is complete and occupied and complies with all other conditions of the grant scheme.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a reconstruction grant to a person (details supplied) in County Louth.

There has been no undue delay in this case. Because of the manner of construction of the roof of the relevant extension, it was necessary to consult the Department's supervising inspector in the case. The position now is that the grant will be paid shortly.
