asked the Minister for Finance if any value-added tax was paid by a circus (details supplied) group who operated in this country earlier this year.

In view of the secrecy obligations imposed on the Revenue Commissioners it is not possible to disclose the information requested by the Deputy. I am assured by the Revenue Commissioners, however, that the provisions of VAT are applied to non-resident traders providing taxable services in the State.
