The Department at present use 12 Digital Equipment (Ireland) Ltd. minicomputers, 2 Rediffusion Ltd. minicomputers, a printer processor supplied by Cara Data Processing Ltd, and two microcomputers—one from Apple Computers Ltd., and the other from Digital.
The Department also uses, on a bureau basis, an IBM mainframe computer at the public service computer centre of the Department of the Public Service.
