Vol. 353 No. 6

Written Answers. - Tax Refund.

577.

asked the Minister for Finance when a tax refund will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that an amended certificate of tax-free allowance was issued in this case on 1 November 1984. Any tax which may have been overdeducted from the taxpayer's earnings from the date on which she commenced her present employment is refundable by her employer when that certificate is put into operation.

An earlier certificate of tax-free allowance, which had been issued on 19 September last, was operated on a noncumulative basis pending clarification by the inspector of the taxpayer's previous employment position.
