The total amount of money lost in the years mentioned, where fraud has been established, was £106. This loss, which occurred in 1981, related to the house improvement grant scheme and emanated from outside my Department. The person concerned was apprehended and convicted by the Courts. A number of other cases are being investigated but at this stage no fraud can be regarded as having been established.
