asked the Minister for Justice the number of armed robberies that have taken place in the last two years; the total amount thus stolen; and the amount recovered.

Limerick East): It is assumed the question is intended to include those crimes which are commonly regarded as armed robberies but are technically aggravated burglaries.

Statistics of armed robberies and aggravated burglaries involving the use of firearms for the two years ended December 1983 are as follows:
