Vol. 353 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Cork Student Placement.

812.

asked the Minister for Education the reason a student (details supplied) in County Cork was not called for the metal-work teaching course at Thomond College, Limerick.

The granting of places on courses in the Thomond College of Education is a matter for the college authorities. I understand, however, that the position is that, following the completion of selection procedures for the course concerned the student in question was not placed sufficiently high in the order of merit to secure a place.
