Vol. 353 No. 9

Written Answers. - Income Tax Relief.

664.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has given any consideration to the idea of allowing income tax relief to parents who have unemployed children who are over 16 residing with them.

The question of provision of support to parents in respect of dependent children over the age of 16 will be considered in the context of the new child benefit scheme proposed in the National Plan Building on Reality 1985-1987.
