asked the Minister for Finance if he will arrange to withdraw from sale by public tender the land purchased by the State in 1981 at Muckross Road, Killarney, County Kerry, for the purpose of building an office block thereon to provide for a section of the Department of Justice to be decentralised to Killarney; and if he will make a statement on the matter having regard to the fact that, if sold, it would be impossible to acquire such a suitable site again.

It is Government policy to dispose of all property surplus to State requirements including sites which were acquired for the decentralisation programme. If in the future a site is required in Killarney I am sure that a suitable one could be acquired.
