Vol. 354 No. 1

Written Answers. - School Transport.

723.

asked the Minister for Education if she will arrange an earlier pick up time for the pupils from Clonbulloge, County Offaly, who are attending Edenderry vocational school and secondary school, as under the present arrangements they are now late for class and the teachers have objected to their late arrival; if she will arrange an earlier pick up time for the return journey as the whole arrangement is now very unsatisfactory and causing a great deal of inconvenience; and if she will make an additional bus available in the catchment areas involved as the bus at present is unable to comply with the timetable worked out between her Department and CIE especially in regard to the mornings.

I understand that, following a meeting held recently between the interested parties, the school transport arrangements for the pupils in question are now satisfactory.
