Vol. 354 No. 4

Written Answers. - Pension Payments.

626.

asked the Minister for the Public Service the persons in receipt of pensions payable to former holders of ministerial office, widows of former office holders, and former Attorneys-General; and the amounts currently paid in each case.

The information sought by the Deputy is issued annually in the Finance Accounts, which were published last June. The rates of pension were increased by 3.25 per cent with effect from 1 February 1984 (second phase of 1983, public service pay agreement). The only changes otherwise are the inclusion of Mrs. Mary Cowen (widow of the late Bernard Cowen) who is in receipt of a pension of £2,063.64 per annum and the deletion of Philis Bean Uí Cheallaigh, Mr. Michael Moran, Mr. George Colley, Mr. Proinsias Mac Aogáin, Mr. Seán McEntee and Mr. Patrick Smith since deceased and those members of the present Government whose pensions for the period 1-14 December 1982 appeared in the 1983 Finance Accounts.
