Vol. 354 No. 4

Written Answers. - Gorey (Wexford) Health Centre.

643.

asked the Minister for Health in view of the congestion and the disgraceful facilities available at the old health centre at Gorey, County Wexford, when he proposes to provide a new health centre; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware that the present accommodation in Gorey is not satisfactory. The provision of a new centre must be financed from capital moneys for which there are many competing demands. My Department are in contact with the South-Eastern Health Board about the position in Gorey but I am not yet in a position to say when it will be possible to sanction the building of the new health centre.
