asked the Minister for Agriculture the total number of grants paid to date under the hill and mountain pastures improvement scheme in County Donegal.

There were 267 grants paid up to 31 October 1984 in County Donegal under the mountain and hill improvement scheme.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the latest position in relation to an application for a grant under the hill and mountain pastures improvement scheme from a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

The application in question was cancelled in February last when the applicant indicated that he was not prepared to carry out certain drainage considered necessary before approval could be given for works under the mountain and hill pasture improvement scheme.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when payment of a grant under the heifer subsidy scheme will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The application received from the person named is at present being processed and, if found in order, will be included with the payments to other applicants under the 1984 calved heifer scheme which have now commenced and which will continue for the next two to three months.
